The road to recovering ain’t that smooth but it sure feels good to be able to drink beer again!

The 3 things your mother told you when you had a chest full of ecto-plasmic phlegm:

NO cold drinks
NO air-con when sleeping
NO smoking….

Ahh..wheeze the exact same words the doctor prescribed, if it wasn’t for the medication that cost almost three jugs of beer at Wrench $60 next to these three rules… did I really need to go when I have a loving Aunty Mary who falls asleep while her supper is slowly charring the metal pot over the stove at 3am in the morning?

Singing hasn’t been easy since Sunday. I shall not bore with details, I’ll just say that

1)Wala remains the place to be for a rockin’ crowd. (except certain saturdays..can’t blame the repressed kids who date people who insist on Hoobastank.)

2)The few FTs that we touch in Bala with our music don’t often come back as regulars ( cos they were literally passing through (next stop Changi Airport), Bala IS at the same building as the Suntec Convention Centre..)

3)and the handful of locals who ARE regulars at Bala are a sweet bunch when they’re not busy ‘networking’.

4)The sea of people who make up the majority of Bala generally have no groove, dunno how to clap, and they STILL listen to that one song by Hoobastank.

5)Try not to laugh when Bala crowd sends up requests like this
Not such a fierce band now, are they?

Thank you Dennis for stepping in last week, I hear you brought out the most from The UnXpected! Will you stand-in again while I lose myself on a beach, possibly further than Sentosa? Hee hee.

I NEED A HOLIDAY.

Mental Notes: Beer does not equal food. People will be people. I love my band.

Dear Wala-ingers (oh I couldn’t think of a prettier name, could I?),

Spunky is still out and miserable. No Wala for Spunky. :(

Brandon is out and miserable too. Latest update: Brandon will be seeing you guys at Wala!

The good news is we will be featuring Dennis on vocals at Wala tonight with the rest of The UnXpected. Do check him out, he’s got a good set of lungs in his chest!
