...is that we don’t have enough time to do it.

Joan and I went to Liquid Room after our respective gigs, we had barely 1 1/2 hours….

Guess who greeted us at the door….

For more Halloween fun, check out Virtual Insanity

In other news, our dbassbitch got MOLESTED at Bala tonight while we were doing our last song.

Ok not ALL white men but we went to Velvet after a ROCKIN’ nite @ Wala Wala and Belinda and I were surrounded by ‘em.

Hee Hee.

Then we met Ben who comes to Wala every Monday to watch Shirlyn’s Trio (Black Magic Womaaaaaaan….). It’s been a long long time since the last time I went clubbing. I’ve been so busy getting the band together I forgot what it felt like to dance my heart out. Must bring Brandon again soon, the chicks were kinda cute at The Living Room. How much R&B can one take in two hours????

Wala Wala rocked. We were happy to meet John and Vicky who were there on Monday too, they came back cos we promised them Led Zep’s Whole Lotta Love :)

It’s Bala next, then Wala, then Virtual Insanity, then Esplanade. We IS so busy….*hic*

Takes the rain and a day off to get this entry going….

I have been singing since last wednesday. Then there was the Triple Unxpected (see previous entries) which ended with a movement-shy crowd on a saturday, I was pretty much all rocked out. The band wanted so much more from the crowd.

Perhaps they’ll do better next time. Prods the saturday crowd to check out Headbanging 101...

Sunday @ Muddy Murphy’s was a little scary. Too early in the afternoon after a long weekend, too long since we last played there and too much feedback and distortion during the long and winding soundcheck (they tried to clock it at half hour, it dragged on for 1hour 15min) with the new sound system. One wonders why they didn’t ask us to go earlier for a soundcheck. I wanted to crrrawl into a hole when this mother-of-a-feedback rang through the pub while the management was twiddling with the controls inside the office and the crowd was giving the band evil looks.

Dude, all we were doing were standing there being connected to the board! My hands weren’t on the controls… that’s scary. Now the crowd thinks The UnXpected sucks… bleeds

Nothing cures a Sucky Sunday like Wala and km8! Jack missed his flight from Bangkok so Ngak was sitting in with Rai @ Wala. The guys from km8 and the boys at the bar were having a ball of a time, SO WAS I ! :)

We had Jack back in one piece last nite for Shirlyn’s Trio. Good crowd, decent music and much giggling and gaffaws later (not a monday goes by without Jack getting red in the face cos of what we say on stage..) I ended my 6day stint.

PHEW!

So here’s what’s going on for Halloween. I’m not plugging this just because we’re hosted by Liquidblade. I’m plugging this cos I want to go (the band’s not playing, some of us are just going to have fun there lar…). The Cowboy Bar have been to Wala and drank/sang-along/ate excessively and basically always have a wild-wild-west of a good time. This time they’re the ones hosting the party so I must go and do the same. Ok maybe not excessively cos we have….

The Unxpected @ The Esplanade Outdoor Theatre 31 Oct AND 1 Nov (showtimes 7.30pm & 8.45pm)

For the guys who can’t control themselves when they see Joan, our violinist/pianist, do come catch her (figure of speech, boys…figure of speech..) on 31 Oct. We are still looking for enough hair and some bowler hats to dress up as the Cousin It family….*makes cute sound and speeds around in cute vehicle*

We’d like to thank the Cowboy Bar for sacrificing Thursday @ Wala Wala, turning up in such a big group and making the noise they did tonight.. you really DID help the atmosphere in Wala Wala. Even though you couldn’t find seats at 8.30pm. Hope you guys liked the OohWahOohWah!

Dbassbitch decided we should rock out on the first set, and so we did.

The crowd seemed to handle it pretty well. I saw a few lost faces here and there, no matter.

Not forgetting Vanessa and her Super Boyfriend (Happy Birthday!), JA and Boby (wah, velly unxpected!), Charmaine and Charlotte (who thought they could catch EIC, tee hee),Eric and David (at the bar), Jerene (your first friday @ Wala). We’re glad you check your emails and heard our call for help!

All in all tonight was a freakin’ good time. We got to play the Led Zep loud and hard. The way it should be!

I have to study/practice for tomorrow’s rehearsal….Catch y’all at Wala Wala!
